    This report provides the local NHS with people’s views about the NHS Long Term Plan. It is designed to feed into work on producing a health and care strategy within the Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership (HCP).

    Healthwatch Warrington (HWW)was approached by the Rapid Community Response team to collect feedback of their experiences of the service from its users.

    The Primary Care Network Clinical Director approached Healthwatch Warrington in October 2020 to work in partnership using their engagement skills and knowledge to assist engagement with residents and families in the Care Homes. This also ensured that it was impartial and transparent.

    The Frailty Assessment Unit (FAU) is a ‘Warrington Together’ led partnership, aiming to redesign services for older people. The unit provides care closer to home where appropriate, reducing Accident and Emergency (A and E) attendances, reducing admissions to acute services, and providing care in a more person-centred and efficient way. The service has been fully operational since June 2018 and it is reported to have significantly reduced the number of admissions of patients living with frailty.

    Healthwatch Warrington was initially approached by Signing Solutions to discuss the issues that the Deaf community in Warrington are experiencing with Hospital access. This was discovered via outreach and support that they are providing within the Deaf Centre. We were invited to come and speak to the Deaf community directly via focus groups which were supported by BSL interpreters.

    HEALTHWATCH Warrington recently held their new work priorities event at the Gateway giving local residents a chance to have their say on the important health issues facing the town.

    Locally Healthwatch Warrington received feedback from the public about their experiences using women's services in Warrington. A number of themes emerged, especially around the lack of knowledge of menopausal support and choice for women. After shortlisting this priority to the public vote, we planned a women's health roadshow to expand our outreach. Also, we worked with our digital expertise and created a survey for women to identify themes around women's health services
