🌟 We're Hiring: Project Co-ordinator – Patient and Public Reference Group (PPRG)

Location:        Home-based with travel across Warrington and Halton
Hours:             Part-time (21 hours/week) – 12-month fixed term (with potential for extension)
Salary:            £25,000 FTE / Pro Rata £14,189
Organisation: Engaging Communities Solutions (ECS) – Healthwatch Warrington & Healthwatch Halton

 

🧭 About the Role

Are you passionate about community engagement and improving healthcare services? ECS is seeking a dynamic Project Co-ordinator to lead the development and delivery of a new Patient and Public Reference Group (PPRG). This group will support the integration of Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust under the Better Care Together Programme.

You’ll be at the heart of coordinating meetings, recruiting members, gathering public insight, and ensuring community voices shape local healthcare services.

 

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate PPRG meetings, including logistics, agendas, minutes, and reports.
  • Recruit and support PPRG members in developing the group’s Terms of Reference.
  • Engage with local communities to gather feedback and insights.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for NHS stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and promote volunteer engagement.
  • Champion equality, diversity, and inclusive practices.

 

🎯 What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience in project coordination or community engagement.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings/weekends.
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft 365, databases).
  • Understanding of patient/service user feedback in service improvement.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.

Desirable:

  • Community Development or Health-related qualification.
  • Knowledge of local Healthwatch and public service challenges.
  • Familiarity with Warrington and Halton communities.
