Norman Holding has been appointed as the interim Chair of the Healthwatch Warrington Independent Strategic Advisory Board. The news follows the recent departure of Pat McLaren who resigned at the end of May.

Healthwatch have a legal power to visit health and social care services and see them in action. This power to Enter and View services offers a way for Healthwatch Warrington to meet some of their statutory functions and allows them to identify what is working well with services and where they could be improved

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and self-motivated individual to recruit, train, and support volunteers in different roles within Healthwatch Warrington, to deliver pieces of work and activities. The main role responsibilities will feature around is for our Enter and View activity and Social Care Outreach.

Patients across Cheshire and Merseyside are being asked to plan ahead for the May bank holiday weekend (Saturday 4 May – Monday 6 May) by ordering any repeat prescriptions they might need early.

Warrington Borough Council have awarded the new Healthwatch Warrington contract to Engaging Communities Solutions Community Interest Company. This means ECS (Engaging Communities Solutions) can continue to deliver the contract which they have held since August 2018 and maintain the high level of support offered to local residents throughout the borough. The contract will include Healthwatch services and also the NHS Complaints Advocacy service contract.
