A simple card is making a big difference for people across Warrington. Healthwatch Warrington’s About Me Card pilot has helped patients communicate their needs more effectively, leading to a more personalised and less stressful experience when accessing healthcare services.

Delivered in partnership with North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust, the pilot supported around 150 patients, many with anxiety, autism, trauma-related conditions, or other communication needs. Feedback from both patients and staff highlighted improved understanding, reduced distress, and stronger patient confidence, demonstrating the value of person-centred approaches in healthcare.
